Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great traction I bought these before heading down Bright Angel Trail in the Grand Canyon where I encountered miles of snow, ice, and mud over two days. Wearing these, I never felt unsafe taking a step, even at a fast pace going up and down the trail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life savers I have been using these for several years. They are phenomenal!! On our small ranch in Montana, the snow cover often turns into solid ice. These have saved both my wife and I from catastrophic falls out in the dark and Sub-Zero taking care of our livestock. They provide SOLID traction, don't slip around on our Arctic pacs and are STABLE. In the 6 years+ that we've been using them, we've never had one come off our boots. In my work as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff, I've worn them out on accident scenes on the highway where it was solid black ice. Again, they deliver SOLID grip and are stable under foot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great on ice! I've had my Diamond Grips for 7 years, and wear them sometimes daily in the winter on icy surfaces. They've held up great, and give me MUCH more traction than my husband gets with his chain style 'grippers'. I do make sure I take them off once I hit non-icy pavement. The rubber shows no sign of becoming brittle.

Hi, I'm trying to determine whether I need this model or the summit. I walk my dog (and she pulls) on snow packed trails as well as black ice covered pavement and with inclinations. I've been slipping like crazy. What would be best?

Asked by: khw15
I think it depends on what you are trying to do. If you are just slipping, these are the answer. If you are trying to dig into snow, because your dog is strong enough to pull you over, you may need the Summit to dig in. These are fantastic to prevent slipping. It is like walking on solid ground on the ice. But they aren't long enough to really 'dig in' if the snow is softer. But I use these for hard packed snow and ice of all kinds and have great success.

Can you wear these in and out of stores? Or do you have to remove them when indoors? ( Deliveries, etc) will they slip indoors?

Asked by: Whoosh
They would not be slippery indoors, but we recommend that you remove Diamond Grip Yaktrax when you go indoors because they could scratch hardwood/tile surfaces and damage the floor.

I will use these for my size 8 women’s running shoe to run and want a secure fit. Should I do a medium or size down to a small? The yaktrax run smalls are big for me despite the size chart.

Asked by: Michele
If your running shoe is size 8, we recommend size Small in the Yaktrax Run. The Small Yaktrax range from 6.5-10 in womens shoe size.

How do I find the sizing chart? I wear a mens shoe size 11. What size do i get?

Asked by: Benn
There is a sizing tab next to each Yaktrax description. For a men's size 11, we would recommend a size large.

Are these diamond grip's ok for fitting to running shoes? There was another person who had commented in the running section that she wears a 5.5 which I do as well but I want to make sure these would be decent for running in the Winter?

Asked by: Meghan
The Diamond Grip is appropriate for running. We usually recommend the Yaktrax Run but they are not meant to be used on transitional surfaces- only packed snow and ice. If you know you will be running intermittently over concrete or gravel, we would recommend the Diamond Grip.

what size for Baffin Eiger Size 11 boot? thank you

Asked by: mjb010558
If you are using these over insulated or work boots you will want to add a size or two to your natural shoe size. The Baffin Eiger boot seems to be a larger snow boot, so we would recommend an extra large.
